I'm a Brazilian copywriter based in NYC with over ten years of experience across digital, healthcare, and integrated agencies — both global and local. That approach has shaped the way I work and helped my campaigns earn recognition at top industry festivals like Cannes Lions, Clio Awards, LIA, and the New York Festivals.

Unconventional thinking is the secret to success, whether it’s in healthcare advertising or writing a bio. So here goes. “S” is my favorite letter. It’s melodic, curvaceous, and a force multiplier to damn near every word imaginable. Mantis shrimps are amazing. They’ve been around for over 400 million years, have the most complex vision on earth, and clubs that strike prey with the speed of a bullet. I would like more hobbies. But as a father of a 2.5-year-old and a 2-month-old, I barely manufactured the time to write this bio. If I wasn’t in healthcare advertising, I’d be the owner of the Boston Celtics. As KG said, anything is possible. I wish we could get rid of all ticks, mosquitoes, and cockroaches. Yeah yeah, our precious ecosystem. But c’mon. We can do without them. Finally, I believe it's important to focus on details like eye contact and correct punctuation;!.?

I’m a designer at heart, true cancerian, a good listener, a passionate traveler, an avid lover of history and stories, a big fan of color, and a self-proclaimed "over 50" creative art director warrior who believes that big ideas can only come from experience of a genuine insight. Along the last 30 years I was able to build a strong and consistent portfolio for a variety of clients such as MasterCard, GM, Unilever, Nestlé, Ferrero, Coca-Cola, J&J, Monsanto, Bayer, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Sanofi, Janssen, MSD among others. That demonstrates the range of my experience to develop campaigns in different segments across ATL, BTL, POS, digital media, BTB/BTC, and healthcare DTC/HCP. The past 6 years in the healthcare and wellness industry have allowed me to use my "caregiver" instincts and become more fulfilled, not only by developing award-winning campaigns for brands and clients, but also as a DC, where I get to work with the next generations.
With a passion for storytelling and a background as an art director, she has spent over 20 years bringing brands to life through visionary craft at full-service advertising agencies across North America and Europe. Her creative focus has centered on healthcare, shaping campaigns for leading brands including Johnson & Johnson, Sanofi, GSK, and Organon. Today, Rhea serves as Creative Director at Merkley + Partners in New York, where she leads creative excellence in women’s health and oncology for Novartis and AstraZeneca.
I believe creativity comes in many forms. I’m an experimentalist at heart, which has fueled my passion for the discovery and design of data-driven solutions in healthcare. Over the years I’ve created an identity for blockbuster brands in the rare disease and oncology space for clients such as Merck, Genentech, Pfizer, Bristol Myers Squibb, and many biotech start-ups. I began my professional career as a writer for the New York Academy of Sciences, while working as a research fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. I’ve had the opportunity to work with many experimental treatments for rare blood disorders—some of which are now available to patients. My obsession with rare disease stems from a life-long quest to solve biology's most complex algorithms and my own personal experience living with a rare digestive inflammatory disorder.
