Jason Graff
EVP, Executive Creative Director Area 23, an IPG Health Company
ABOUT

Jason Graff

Jason has advertising in his blood. His father was one of the madmen at DDB who helped create the golden age of advertising, and this inspired Jason to follow in his footsteps.

Before joining AREA 23, Jason held Executive Creative Director posts at Publicis and the Kaplan Thaler Group. He racked up consumer awards on Wendy’s, Trojan condoms, Hot Pockets and Abbott nutrition. But it was Jason’s work on Similac that put him on a more inspired career path. He created the Sisterhood of Motherhood campaign to expose the unnecessary and toxic mommy judgment and urged healing and acceptance in the community. It wasn’t about buying a brand, but rather buying into one. From that moment, Jason only wanted to work on brands that would make a real difference in people’s lives.

Shortly after, Jason joined AREA 23 with the mission of creating life-changing work that had unbridled craft and creativity. This was a lofty goal in an industry known for safe work, but Jason believed it was time for health and wellness to have its own golden age. Jason’s eternal optimism and non-stop drive to do the best work in the world paid off.

For 6 years in a row, he has been one of the most awarded creatives in the healthcare industry. Recently, he was ranked #1 Executive Creative Director in the world at the One Show, and his creative contributions have resulted in AREA 23 being recognized as Agency of the Year in nearly every award show.

Jason has also dedicated his career to mentoring young talent. He taught at the School of Visual Arts for 7 years, and created ‘Use Your Words’, a craft course to enrich the copy department at AREA 23 and other IPG Health agencies. Recently he was a mentor in the D&AD Shift Program.

Jason is married and the proud father of four children and three dogs, and he hopes all seven will follow in his advertising footsteps.

Annie Heckenberger
SVP, Creative Director Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness
ABOUT

Annie Heckenberger

Annie has spent nearly 3 decades working at agencies spanning PR, marketing, and advertising. Her start on the PR side of the business trained her to identify and design ideas that press want to cover and people like to share. The bulk of her career was spent in the CPG, athletic apparel, and spirits worlds.

She’s been in healthcare for the last 7 years, developing launch brand campaigns while also partnering with public affairs teams at leading pharmaceutical companies to craft omnichannel creative campaigns. Annie is a part of the Publicis Health Visibility Project, a multicultural and multidisciplinary team working on DE&I initiatives across health.

In 2015-2016, she was tapped as Digital Director for the Philadelphia 2016 Host Committee, the nonpartisan organization that hosted the 2016 Democratic National Convention. The work she and her team of more than 200 content creators produced for that event is now archived in the U.S. Library of Congress.

Annie applies an expansionist vision to storytelling, helping to push ideas into bigger and more meaningful places. Annie believes that the best marketing is integrated; viral is not a style, but a cultural phenomenon, and everyone should work in an agency for at least a year.
